Citrix

What is it?

Citrix is a server solution that delivers Windows whole desktops or applications to client computers independently of the OS installed on the client. Users can access their personal environment and all Citrix applications from any place without installation.

Main features:

• Accessible from CELLS Intranet or extranet.

• A practical way to share an application among multiple users as long as they don’t need to have it installed on their personal computer.

• Citrix applications run on servers and are displayed in the client computers, putting less resources requirements on the local client.

• Citrix sessions can be disconnected from a terminal/PC without closing them. Afterwards the user can reconnect to it from the same terminal/PC or from another one.

• Applications can be distributed following specific user’s group profiles.
