Detectors Control & Data Acquisition
What is it?
X-Ray detectors are a key piece of experimental stations. Each experiment has very specific requirements for detectors that often need a complex control and synchronization, combined with a high throughput (up to 300 MB/s for a single detector).
New detectors need to be integrated in the beamline control system continuously. In most cases, new requirements for control and data acquisition arise even before finishing the implementation of the previous ones. In addition, those requirements evolve continuously, requiring hard work to define, adapt and work out an existing detector with new techniques.
