Organizational Structure

Computing and Controls Division is organized in four sections:

Controls Section designs, develops, operates and supports the control systems of the accelerators, beamlines, personal safety and equipment protection systems, as well as for data acquisition and data analysis at the beamlines
Electronics Section designs, operates and supports the hardware for the synchrotron’s control systems, data acquisition and also supports the machine’s electronic equipment and cabling infrastructure
Systems Section designs, operates and supports all CELLS IT services: network infrastructure, server, storage, backup, security, application distribution, industrial computing, personal computing, printing, email, telecommunication, video conferencing, etc.
MIS Section designs, develops, transitions, operates and supports all CELLS management of information systems supporting CELLS “business” processes, from site engineering, cable installation, safety and security to helpdesk, knowledge management, human resources, purchasing, accounting and finance.
