Very good feelings regarding the control system in the commissioning of the booster

The booster commissioning has been successfully achieved. The control system fulfilled the specification and run reliably.  The controls groups, together with the whole computing division have successfully passed the first “Site acceptance tests” for the control system. The booster synchrotron control covers most subsystems, and involves controlling more than thousand process variables.

Hardware and software applications have been tested in a real working accelerator.

This has been a very good test facing the commissioning of the storage ring with more than eight thousand process variables to monitor.
